About St Peter's

People at St Peter’s are united in supporting each other to follow Jesus Christ in their daily lives. They share together in many activities including the Sunday Services, discussions, social meetings, studies and events. St Peter’s has a creative side to it with activities including music, bellringing, gardening, art, crafts, astronomy and even theatre. One of its longest running activities is ’Take a Break’ which provides a focus for parents with young children every Wednesday morning.  The church also welcomes community groups to use its building, including KEMS orchestra and band, National Childbirth Trust and others.

We are trying to develop a deeper faith in God and explore how to live it out as followers of Christ by:

  • Showing God’s love in the way we care for, accept and learn from each another
  • Responding to human need and injustice with prayer, love and action in Jesus’ name
  • Offering welcoming, creative, challenging and thoughtful ways to share our faith in an open and honest way with those around us

St Peter’s is part of Macclesfield team parish and works together with St Michaels’ in the marketplace, All Saints and St Barnabas church. All the churches work together to contribute to the community.

St Peter’s is led by a church council which is elected by the congregation every year.
