Sometimes we feel like celebrating and sometimes we don’t. The cycle of the church year brings us key times to drag us away from the routine. At Christmas and Easter we celebrate momentous events which should bring renewed energy and insight into our lives. Above all, they are moments when we are encouraged to come together, to focus on what we share rather than what may keep us apart. We also mark the cycle of our human experience with events when we come together as families and communities to share joy and grief, hope and poignant memories.
