Kites for Peace

Make a Kite for Peace

Kites are used throughout our world to symbolise hope and peace. They can lift your eyes and heart.

We are making kites to help us remember our own stories of conflict and resolution, focusing on family stories and how we can restore and rebuild peace in our lives.

Everyone can make a kite for peace

Make it – take it

Bring your kites to St Michael’s by 2 November and we will add it to a town display of kites.

You and your group can take part.

Your kite will be unique and carry your story and your hopes for a future based on peace.

We will be flying some kites and making a film to show at our events during the week. Others will be displayed in town or you could create you own display and send us a picture to put on our peace wall.

If you would like to add to the town-wide display, return your kite to us at St Michael’s Church Office by 2 November or email us at:
