Following the devastating fire at Notre-Dame in Paris, The Prime Minister, Teresa May, and the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have requested that UK churches ring their bells on Maundy Thursday. We will be ringing the St Peter’s bells half-muffled between 6 and 7 pm on Thursday 18th April. Half-muffled means that they will sound alternately loud and quiet. Normally we only ring in this way on Remembrance Sunday.
